BTS in a Flash: Curriculum Must Haves

I am so excited to be linking up this week with a bunch of awesome bloggers to showcase some awesome curriculum! I am sure you know by now that tomorrow and Tuesday are the HUGE Back to School sale on TpT, so these are just in time!

Back to School in a Flash Link Up

This week we are each sharing one item from our store, one item from TpT that we can’t live without, and one item on our wishlist. Back to School in a Flash: Grading Rubrics for All OccassionsMy number one curriculum must have from my store is my set of Grading Rubrics for All Occasions. I seriously use these rubrics every week in my own classroom. There are 13 rubrics for grading presentations, posters, skits, interactive notebooks, group work, discussion groups/ literature circles, learning centers, book reports, science experiments, opinion writing, informative writing, and narrative writing. Also included are a blank rubric, and 4 student self-evaluations.

Back to School in a Flash: Math Interactive JournalMy second must have is from Jen from Runde’s Room. She has the most amazing Interactive Math Journal! This item seriously changed the way that I teach math. It includes 38 interactive journal entries (each with pictures of student examples),  an explanation of  how she sets up the journals in her classroom, checklists, and assessment ideas.

Back to School in a Flash: Reading Graphic Organizers for Informational Texts

Last, but certainly not least, I have the Common Core Reading Graphic Organizers for Informational Texts (Grades 3-5) from Kelly at Teaching Fourth on my wishlist. I have been looking for some resources to use with reading our history and science textbooks. In my class we have math workshop, interactive journals, a task card wall, and literature circles. However, sometimes you just have to read part of the textbook. I think these will be an amazing change of pace! There are almost 100 graphic organizers in this packet and I can’t wait to use them!

Thanks again to the hosts of Back to School in a Flash Linky Party: Fancy Free in 4th, Ramona Recommends, and Not So Wimpy Teacher!
