This is a perfect activity for the younger kids. The packet includes colorful count the room materials for 3 separate games. In the first game, students count the number of cupcakes, and then color in a ten-frame.  The second game has the students count the ten-frame and write down the total. In the third game, students scan QR codes, listen to an auditory number being read, and write down the number. The first two games also come with QR code answer keys. These are great games, especially since they are self-checking!

Counting to 100 Scavenger Hunt by Creekside Learning

I love this set of heart numbers (1-100) because they are so simple, yet extremely versatile. In the blog post, she describes how she hid the numbers and then her son found them and put them in order. You could also do the same activity, but only use certain numbers to skip count. You could also have students pick two numbers to add or subtract (or multiply if they are more advanced). This is an awesome resource that could be used many different ways!

Addition and Subtraction Mat Valentine's Day Math Center
